Marta Andhov is an associate professor at the University of Copenhagen Faculty of Law. Her main research interests focus on public procurement law, sustainability, governmental contracts and the interaction between public and private law in the context of international trade.
Marta is a co-host of the popular Bestek Public Procurement Podcast, which explores public procurement law issues through informal yet in-depth discussions. She is a co-lead of the EU-Horizon 2020 funded Sustainability and Procurement in International, European, and National Systems (SAPIENS).
In the past, Marta has provided her insight and expertise to key projects for the European Commission, Danish Institute for Human Rights. She contributed to proefoionallization of procurement sector through teaching and training at the multiple universities, national procurement agencies and various institutions and public authorities, including series of seminars/trainings for the Chartered Institute of Procurement & Supply (CIPS) (Australia), ITCLO (Italy) and Procurement Regulation Postgraduate Diploma at King's College, United Kingdom (United Kingdom).
Her 2019 co-edited book, Cost and EU Public Procurement Law – Life-Cycle Costing for Sustainability, contributes to developing life-cycle criteria tools and methodologies for public procurement in the EU. It includes both sector-crossing contributions, analysing the most relevant theoretical and legal aspects such as EU law and contract theory, and sector-specific contributions to some of the most important sustainable goods and services markets.
In 2019, Marta was selected as a Haub Visiting Scholar at Pace University's Environmental Law Program (New York, US), recognised as the leading Environmental Law program in the United States.
